Kalbelias… A nomadic tribe of serpent catchers who not only protect serpents but also the precious flora of this desert state.  Today’s Photowalk features a Kalbelia dancer. The Kalbelias are known for their rhythm and music. Their dances have been a regular fixture during celebrations in Rajasthan for centuries. The Kalbelia women wear a distinctive black and red voluminous skirt, blouse, and shawl which are elaborately embroidered. The dancer performs sinewy rhythmic movements that mirror the litheness of snakes. The lilting music, the vibrant, the attractive costumes, and the beautiful dancers have been a crowd puller at Indian cultural festivals here and abroad. It’s a captivating experience. 

मेरी आज की फ़ोटो वॉक का विषय कालबेलिया नृत्यांगना हैं जो कि इसी नाम की एक जनजाति द्वारा प्रस्तुत किया जाने वाला राजस्थान का एक भावमय लोक नृत्य की अदाकारा है।यह जनजाति खास तौर पर इसी नृत्य के लिए जानी जाती है और यह उनकी संस्कृति का एक अभिन्न अंग है। अपनी भाव भंगिमाओं से आकर्षित करती है।ये आनंद और उत्सव के सभी अवसरों पर इस जनजाति के सभी स्त्री और पुरुष इसे प्रस्तुत करते हैं।
इन महिलाओं के सभी वस्त्र काले और लाल रंग के संयोजन से बने होते हैं व घाघरा खूब कलियों वाला घेर वाला होता है आभूषणों से सजधज कर नृत्य से मंत्र मुग्ध करती है और इन वस्त्रों पर इस तरह की कशीदाकारी होती है कि जब नर्तकी नृत्य की प्रस्तुति करती हैं तो यह दर्शकों के आँखो के साथ-साथ पूरे परिवेश को एक आकर्षण का अनुभव का आभास प्रदान कराती हैं।
