Morning with magnificent cloud Photo walk at Flyover
Photowalk up Veer Durga Das flyover, Jodhpur
It was a bright sunrise at 5:30 am when I cycled up the flyover. The skyline was a calm expanse of blue. The cityscape with snaking streets, walls, and a generous splash of greenery surrounded by the Aravallis presented a perfect photo-op.
The first multilevel flyover of Jodhpur has the privilege to be named Veer Durga Das Rathore Flyover, after the illustrious son of Marwar. It is a matter of pride for Jodhpur and for the 36 royal races of India.
Veer Durga Das was not just a courageous warrior, but also an astute statesman. The royal house of Marwar owes its existence to his bold decisions. His memory must be kept alive for future generations.
The winding flyover is a fine example of infrastructure architecture. The panoramic view of the city from the top is a sight to behold.
