My today’s cycling trip to the historic Sardar market in Jodhpur. This market is in the heart of Jodhpur and flanked by two massive medieval gates. While one gate opens onto Nai Sarak, the other is the entry into the old city, Toorji ka Jhalra, and Gulab Sagar. Sardar market was established by the Maharaja Sardar Singh. The centrepiece of Sardar Market is the beautifully carved sandstone Clock Tower. Mehrangarh Fort looms in the background like a silent sentinel. The market itself is abuzz with shopkeepers and shoppers going about their business. Sardar Market is also famous for mouth-watering sweets and savouries. This place is a special favourite of foreign tourists.

एक नई सड़क से अन्दर जाने के लिए व दूसरी पोल पुराने शहर ,तूरजी का झालरा व गुलाब सागर की और जाने के लिए है।
यह सरदार मार्केट महाराजा सरदार सिंह जी ( 1880-1911)ने बनवाया था इस के ह्रदय स्थली में सैंड स्टोन से बेमिसाल कारीगरी से निर्मित से घंटाघर इस पूरे बाज़ार की शान में चार चॉंद लगाते हुए खडा़ है व पीछे हिमालय सा खड़ा मेहरानगढ दुर्ग नयनाभिराम दृश्य देखने को मिलता है।चारों तरफ़ पूरा हाट बाज़ार लगा हुआ खचा खच भरा किसी मेले से कम नहीं लगता है।यहॉं हाट के साथ साथ जोधपुरी स्वाद की कई खाने पीने की विशिष्टता वाली दुकानें भी है।विदेशी सैलानियों का ये विशेष पसंदीदा स्थल माना गया है।स्ट्रीट फ़ोटोग्राफ़ी के लिए इससे बेहतर जगह नहीं हो सकती है।
