Although a desert, Rajasthan is one of the states where animals and birds find a safe and protected environment. Perhaps, the struggle to survive in the harsh environment makes the people of Rajasthan empathetic towards God’s other creatures. Communities traditionally do not hunt and consume a number of birds and animals.  Providing food, drinking water, and shelter for pigeons, peacocks, squirrels is an age-old practice here. It is not surprising that migratory birds from Northern latitudes have made various parts of Rajasthan their winter abode where they find a secure haven with ample provisions. These feathered visitors are welcomed every year by the people of Rajasthan who have incorporated these birds into their folk culture. 
राजस्थान जीव जन्तु व पक्षियों के लिए भी बहुत उन्नत व सुरक्षित राज्यों में आता है। यहॉं लोग हर सुबह सेवा भाव से कबूतर,मोर,गिलहरी इत्यादियों को सुबह दाना डालते है उनके के लिए पानी के पात्र भरकर रखते है उन्हें प्यार करते है व कोई भी उनका शिकार नहीं करते है इस लिए पक्षि अपने आप को सुक्षित भी महसूस करते है और एशिया के विदेशी पक्षि भी 4-5 महीने यहॉं अपनी पसंदीदा जगहों पर अपना सुखद विश्राम स्थल के लिए चुनते है व यहॉं व
पर उनका बहुत आनन्दित आवास रहता है। हमारे यहॉं के घरों के आस पास के वृ़क्षो पर व चारों और विचरण करते है उन्हें मनुष्य जीवन के साथ अपनापन व सुरक्षित महसूस भी करते है।
