My photo walk to capture the blue city from hilltop Blue City Jodhpur has an abundance of Sun, hence the epithet, Suncity. It is also famous worldwide for its distinctive blue-painted houses. From the imposing height of Mehrangarh Fort, when you take in the panoramic view of the city below, you can see a network of narrow bustling streets with houses stacked cheek by jowl. The people who live here have a great sense of belonging. Jodhpur is also known as Little Kashi. Every locality is adorned with temples here. The harsh and sunny summers led to the idea of painting houses with indigo to keep the houses cool. Of course, Jodhpur is also famous for its incredibly delicious sweets and savouries. So, next time you visit the Suncity, do take in the magnificent view from Mehrangarh.

नीले घरों का शहर सूर्यनगरी जोधपुर
विश्व पटल पर जोधपुर ब्लूसिटी के नाम से प्रसिद्ध है देशी व विदेशी पर्यटकों का पसंदीदा पर्यटन स्थल भी है वैसे इसे सनसिटी भी कहते है।यहॉं के प्रसिद्ध दुर्ग मेहरानगढ व पचेटिया की पहाड़ियों से पुराना शहर का नज़ारा नीले रंग का नज़र आता है जो हल्के नीले आकाश के तले बेहद सुन्दर प्रतीत होता है।जोधपुर गर्मी का गढ़ रहा है व ज़्यादा गर्मी की बजह से यहॉं शहर के भीतरी घरों को नील से नीला पुतवाते थे ताकि घर ठंडे रहे।गलियों का जाल बिछा हुआ है व पास पास घनी आबादी वाले अपणायत वाले परिवारों के सुन्दर घरों की श्रृंखला बसी है हर मोहल्ले में मंदिर ही मंदिर है जिस वजह से जोधपुर को छोटा काशी भी कहा जाता है।यहॉं के बाज़ार जोधपुर की प्रसिद्ध मिठाई व नमकीन के खानें पीने व जोहरी की दुकानों की भरमार है।आप जब भी जोधपुर आए तो इन पहाड़ियों से जोधपुर को अवश्य निहारिएगा सच में आपकी आत्मा प्रसन्न हो जाएगी ।
